This high quality solid
mahogany gun cabinet, made by Doten-Dunton Desk Co. (a premier office
furniture manufacturer from Boston, Mass.) was made in the late 1800's. It
has been painstakingly restored to its original beauty, using Special
Walnut stain, enhancing the beauty of the mahogany in warm brown tones.
Dental molding adorns the crown around the top of the gun cabinet. This
gun cabinet is a two-piece unit with original sliding glass doors top and
bottom. The cabinets overall height is 86-1/2 inches, the width is
forty-eight inches. The top
section is 59 inches tall, the base is 27-1/2 inches high, with a 17-1/2
inches in depth.
The original brass locks are
intact and work with keys included. The top unit has six ammo drawers with
original recessed brass ring pulls. The drawers measure nin inches wie by
seven and one-half inches deep each.
Each ammunition drawer bottom was branded ( thermographed ) without the
use of ink or print on. This mark includes "makers name, roll top desk,

The left top section is for
rifle display. Each rifle butt rests in its own felt-covered slot.
